The Faculty of Education, which began as the Niigata Teachers College, is a specialized educational department with traditions going back over 130 years. Teaching personnel receive a practical training dealing closely with schools and children. At the end of the course students are ready to assume responsibility in the teaching profession in a wide range of fields including art, sports, life sciences and lifelong education.
