Niigata University (NU) offers the Summer Program 2022. The program is designed for students from our partner universities who will learn remotely from their home country with NU students. It provides students with opportunities to study not only Japanese language and culture but also develop their capabilities to study in Japan, and contribute to the globalizing world in different social settings in the future.

From Monday, August 22 to Thursday, August 25:
Students from partner universities participate in classes. Classes will be held separately for basic and intermediate learners. Lessons regarding Japanese contemporary affairs through intensive Japanese reading will be provided.
On Friday, August 26:
All students including Niigata University (NU) students and international students join in the same class. NU students make presentations about contemporary Japanese affairs in English, and international students make questions about the presentations. All students have a discussion together and exchange their views and opinions on the topics regarding Japanese contemporary affairs either in Japanese or English.

Zoom will be used throughout the entire program. Please make sure to download the software before you participate in the program. The Zoom credentials to join in the program is written on the file below.
To open the file, please put in the password sent to you via email on July 25.

We will take a group picture of all participants for the publicity on the final day of the program. If you do not agree to the posting of your photos, you can turn off the video on Zoom during the photo shooting. However, please turn the video on while you attend the classes during the program.
