Students' research activities in the laboratory (Updated on May, 14, 2020)

To all students who conduct research activities

                                            RE: Students' Research Activities in the Laboratory

Due to the infection control measures against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Niigata University has requested suspension of students' research activities in certain places, such as laboratory for the time being. This is to inform you that research activities will resume after May 18 on condition that you take thorough infection control measures under the instructions from your academic supervisor. Keep the following in mind when resuming research activities.

We will inform you if our research activity restriction level should change depending on the future situation.

Notice

  • Regarding the details about when research activities resume, make sure to contact your academic supervisor in person.
  • Consult with your academic supervisor to decide how to conduct research activities.
  • You may refrain from conducting research activities if you are concerned about the risk of infection with COVID-19. Please apply to your academic supervisor.
  • Niigata University has requested that our faculty member give proper consideration to those students so they won't suffer a disadvantage due to the above mentioned application.

    *Students means graduate and undergraduate students who conduct their research activities for the purpose of their dissertation or thesis including doctoral, master's and bachelor's.
