For those students who have unstable internet access at home, they can borrow a WiFi router.
Who can apply?
-Undergraduates, graduates and School Nurse-Teachers' course students.
Types of support available
-Interest-free loan of 30,000 JPY per month (for three months maximum) for students who are in need of urgent financial support for school expenses due to the impact of COVID-19.
Others
-Application screening is to be simplified for granting loan without delay. You are required to repay the loan while you are enrolled at Niigata University. You may be exempted from the repayment through engagement to the university, such as on-campus business.

Who can apply?
-Those who fall under the following two conditions:
(i) Students who are facing severe financial crisis that hinders them from continuing their study and lives for the reasons, including sudden reduced income of their guardians or their sudden reduced income from part-time jobs due to the impact of COVID-19.
(ii) Students recognized their need for the scholarship by COVID-19 Emergency Student Support Desk.
Types of support available
-Stipend of 50,000 JPY (one time only) as the emergency measure for those who are facing financial crisis that hinders them from continuing their study and lives due to the impact of COVUID-19.
Others
-Candidates will be interviewed based on their application documents for screening.
