A group including Professor Eisaku Kondo and Assistant Professor Hidekazu Iioka (Division of Molecular and Cellular Pathology, Niigata University Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences) found that Crumbs3 (Crb3) which is essential to embryogenesis, is deeply involved in metastasis of colorectal cancer (CRC) as an invasion initiator. Detailed analyses of its mechanism will contribute to establishing preventive therapeutics for CRC metastasis.
