[To all Niigata University Students] Request for cooperation to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (Updated: Apr. 14)

In order to prevent further spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, Niigata University asks all of our students to cooperate in the following way:

1. Please avoid non-essential or non-urgent travel out of Niigata prefecture.

2. NU students are strongly advised against all travel to the following areas:
     Tokyo, Aichi, Kanagawa, Osaka, Chiba, Hyogo, Saitama, Fukuoka

3. Please refrain from going to sports/training gyms, karaoke, parties involving food and drinks, and other various events with a large number of people.

4. NU students are strongly encouraged to wash their hands on returning home.

5. Those who are staying out of Niigata prefecture as of April 14, should avoid going out for non-essential or non-urgent reasons after returning to Niigata. Make sure to monitor your health daily by filling out the "Health Monitor List" , and submit it to Student Affairs Office of your Faulty or Graduate School on the first day of class. If you experience symptoms such as fever (37.5 °C or above) or other common symptoms of a cold (coughing, breathlessness, dullness, etc.) during the self-monitoring period, please call Niigata University Health Administration Center (Ikarashi campus: 025-262-6244,  Asahimachi campus: 025-227-2040) on the phone for consultation.

*Besides above-mentioned areas, others may be added depending on the future situation in Japan.
  If and when the Japanese government declares the sate of emergency in the future, students are asked to act properly based on the government's announcement in addition to the guidelines above.

Niigata University also asks all of our students to cooperate in the following way on the first day of class:

1. If you experience symptoms such as fever (37.5 °C or above) or other common symptoms of a cold (coughing, breathlessness, dullness, etc.), please do not come to class and call the following number.

2. In case you fill out the Health Check List, please submit it to Student Affairs Office.
