Dr. Tadashi YAMAMOTO Received Clinical and Translational Proteomics Award, HUPO 2020

Dr. Tadashi YAMAMOTO, the professor emeritus of the Biofluid Biomarker Center of Kidney Research Center, Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Niigata University, received "HUPO 2020 Clinical and Translational Proteomics Award", from Human Proteome Organization (HUPO).
HUPO is the international consortium, launched in 2001, with the aim of mapping the entire human protein set (proteome) after the completion of the human genome sequencing project.
This award is an annual award presented to the only one scientist around the world who conducts prominent proteomics research, contributing to clinical and translational research. Dr. YAMAMOTO was the first recipient of this award in Asia.
The award-winning achievement was highly regarded for the selection of urinary biomarkers for kidney disease by proteomics and its clinical application as well as for showing possibilities to develop into "All-in-One Urine Tests", urinalysis to realize early checkup of all diseases.
