[To all NU Students] Regarding classes of the second semester for AY 2021 (Updated on August 10)

Aug 10 2021

Niigata University conducted non-face-to-face classes for the first semester of AY 2021 in principle, giving the first priority to the prevention and control measures against the novel coronavirus infectious disease (COVID-19).

As of August, 2021, it is still uncertain when the situation about COVID-19 will be settled. As we continue to be under an unpredictable situation during the second semester for AY 2021, Niigata University will strive to enhance the educational effectiveness and student life by conducting face-to-face classes only in classes which need to be conducted face-to-face, while observing the future situation about the infection.

  • Please be noted that there might be changes in conducting classes, such as ceasing face-to-face classes depending on the situation of the infection.
  • In case the coronavirus infections are confirmed on campuses and it becomes necessary to identify the persons who have had close contact with the infected person, we ask you to take a seat with a QR code when you attend classes, as it traces the information of classroom seating.
