Where international and Japanese students meet, connect, and learn from one another—International Commons serves as a hub for interaction and communication that supports Niigata University's global co-creation initiatives.
This space is available to students, faculty, and staff for a variety of purposes, including social interaction, collaborative learning, conversation, and relaxation. Food and beverages are permitted throughout the facility, making it suitable for meetings and interaction that involve refreshments. Whether for casual conversations or group work, we encourage you to make use of the space in ways that best suit your needs.
How to Use
No reservation is required for regular use, such as social interaction, collaborative learning, conversation, or relaxation. The facility is freely available during opening hours.
Please note that advance reservation is required for exclusive use of the entire space. Information on how to reserve the facility for exclusive use will be announced on this page after the installation of audio and other equipment (scheduled for late September or later).

Opening Hours
Weekdays: 8:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
The facility will be closed during the university's summer closure period (August 12–14) and year-end/New Year holiday closure period (December 29–January 3).
Information regarding hours reserved for exclusive use will be announced once finalized.

Rules for Use
- Please dispose of all waste properly and leave the facility clean after use.
- If you move any furniture or equipment, please return it to its original location.
- Please refrain from any behavior that may disturb other users.
- The use of open flames and the bringing of hazardous materials into the facility are prohibited.
- The sale of goods and any similar commercial activities are prohibited.
