2020 Debriefing Session of Niigata University Supporter Club

Niigata University held an online 2020 debriefing session of the Niigata University Supporter Club on Tuesday, December 1, where there were a total of 134 participants, consisting of corporate and individual members, students, including international students as well as faculty and staff of Niigata University.

We hold the Niigata University Supporter Club Debriefing Session and Information Exchange Meeting every year to inform the the members of the achievements of our scholarship recipients. This year, however, we conducted the debriefing session online in view of the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.

Prof. USHIKI Tatsuo, the President of Niigata University gave an explanation about the overview of the club, followed by the reports on studies and activities presented by four students receiving the scholarships, gaining support from the club.

Following the reports, a round-table discussion between the President and five students was delivered in place of the annual information exchange meeting.  The discussion covered  university life, club activities, and students' support system with the theme of "University Life under the COVID-19 Crisis".

Niigata University continues to expand the circle of the supporter club and to promote "Student Study Support", "International Exchange", and "Improving Educational Facilities", which are the objectives of the club. We also work for further cooperation and development of our university, the members and the local community through transmitting information.
