2018 Fall Semester Japanese Language Showcase

Global Education Center at Niigata University held the Japanese language showcase of 2018 Fall Semester on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Central Library Hall on Ikarashi Campus.
The event, which is held biannually, is for international students studying Japanese for two months in order to demonstrate their achievements.
Following the opening remarks by Prof. Yasuhiko Yukawa, the Director of Global Education Center, 6 students from Cuba, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar and Bangladesh, gave speeches about various topics including their impression of Niigata, daily life and experience in Japan. Afterwards, two skits, which had been recorded beforehand, were shown, making the audience laugh.

As in the comment by Prof. Mikio Shibata, their Japanese was so excellent that you wouldn't even think that they have been studying for only two months. This event must have engendered their confidence and motivated other students to study to become as good as today's speakers.
